From Festevents:
ETC is the celebration
of the vast talent and dedication that fuels the independent music
scene. Town Point Park transforms into an organic platform for artists,
comedians, film makers, musicians and many more to flourish. Embrace The Culture (ETC)
is comprised of local, regional and national artists on multiple stages
along the Elizabeth River while offering local culinary, visual and
salvage artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their own talents. ETC is free and everyone is welcome.
ETC festival-goers will
enjoy the melodic music of the performers, the bustling brilliance of
Buskers sprinkled throughout the park, the fabulous flavors from the Food Truck Food Court, the fantastical fantasy of Film Makers ETC, ETC. Explore the original and Repurpose-Style Arts & Retail Marketplace
located in Festival Field. From handmade jewelry and salvage art to
handmade soaps and paintings, the marketplace comes alive with local
artisans creating and selling beautiful pieces of artwork for guests to
enjoy and take home.
Check out the ETC Repurposed Style ONLINE Retail Marketplace to see what each of the artists have to offer!
This
year ETC will reach further than Town Point Park, to encompass all of
Downtown Norfolk & Ghent! Produced by VEER Magazine, the ETC/VEER
Magazine Fringe Festival gives ETC guests the opportunity to branch out
and saunter the streets of Norfolk, popping into local businesses that
will preserve the ETC Indie music & arts movement throughout the
city. A visual art show at d'Art Center, an author workshop at Prince
Book Store and a bevy of musical performances at an array of Norfolk
establishments encompass the entertainment ETC guests will enjoy as the
ETC/VEER Magazine Fringe Festival emerges on Friday, September 13 & Saturday, September 14, 2013.
